1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is that the name of the petitioner was forwarded by the Block Development Officer to the District Election Officer (DEO) on the ground that there are some discrepancies between electors marked under adjudication found in supplementary list and the same is pending for adjudication. The petitioner has made a request to the District Election Officer, Uttar Dinajpur for consideration of the request of the petitioner for restoration of her name in the electoral roll on May 11, 2026 but in spite of receipt of the request of the petitioner, the DEO has not considered the request of the petitioner and the same is still pending before the DEO.

2. Considering the above, the writ petition being WPA 12984 of 2026 is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, Uttar Dinajpur to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated May 11, 2026 after giving an opportunity of hearing and to pass a reasoned and

speaking order within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

3. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

4. Urgent Photostat certified copy, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Krishna Rao, J.)
