The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject BioScience at Ghoshpur Junior High School, Baduria, District- 24 Parganas (North). He had applied for general transfer through the 'Utsashree Portal' on the grounds that he is suffering from arthritis, other ailments and that the distance between his residence and the school is 64 kms but his such prayer has been rejected by the authority on the ground that he is the single teacher of the subject in the said school.

The grounds on which the petitioner sought such general transfer does not appear to be at all convincing, this Court therefore is not inclined to interfere with the decision of the concerned authority.

W.P.A. 12115 of 2022 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
