1. Pursuant to the directions of a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court dated 29th January, 2018 passed in W.P. No. 4301 (W) of 2017, the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Purulia undertook a hearing of the petitioner's case.

2. The petitioner was praying for Head Teacher Allowance for the period during his service. The petitioner served from November, 1971 till the year 2012 as an Assistant Teacher in Simuldanga Primary School, Purulia.

3. The District Primary School Council, Purulia by the impugned order dated 17th April, 2018 has only said that he has made repeated representations to the D.S.E, West Bengal for clarification on the claims of the petitioner for Head Teacher Allowance. The D.S.E., West Bengal has not replied the same till date.

4. In those circumstances, this Court directs the Director of School Education, West Bengal to reply to the letters of the petitioner dated 10th December, 2007 as reminded on 1st April, 2008, 17th November, 2008 and 27th June, 2008. Further reminders appear to

have been sent on 30th December, 2010 and 18th January, 2012.

5. Let a copy of the decision of the D.S.E., West Bengal be served on the District Primary School Council, Purulia and the writ petitioner within a period of two months from the date of communication of a copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition.

6. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
