This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of a workman praying for a direction upon the West Bengal 7th Industrial Tribunal to dispose of the Case No.10 of 2019 expeditiously.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite party. However, learned advocate on record for the petitioner shall forward a copy of this application along with this order to the opposite party or to the learned advocate representing the opposite party before the learned Industrial Tribunal.

From the ordersheets appended to this application this Court finds that April 5, 2024 was fixed for cross-examination of PW-1.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the matter was adjourned on April 5, 2024 and the next date has been fixed on May 6, 2025 for further cross-examination of PW-1.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, C.O. 1767 of 2024 is disposed of by requesting the learned Judge, West Bengal 7th Industrial Tribunal to dispose of the Case No.10 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be furnished to the applicant at an early date, upon compliance of usual formalities. (HIRANMAY BHATTACHARYYA, J.)
