Ms. Faria Hossain Ms. Sonali Das ... for the State Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits petitioner who is the father-in-law of the victim housewife has been falsely implicated in the instant case. He resides in separate mess from the couple.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes prayer for anticipatory bail.

Having considered statements of witnesses particularly the neighbours prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in the torture of the housewife who committed suicide within three years of marriage, we are of the opinion in view of gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
