The State of West Bengal and ors.

1. None appears on behalf of the petitioner on call. No accommodation is sought for. Even on earlier occasions, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner on call.

2. This case pertains to the year 2010. Almost 15 years have already passed.

3. The instant writ petition has been filed by the writ petitioner seeking direction upon the respondents to take appropriate steps to promote the petitioner to the post of Secretary of different Gram Panchayats under different Blocks of Murshidabad District from the Gradation List, in accordance with Rule(b)(ii) of West Bengal Gram Panchayat Recruitment Rules, forthwith together with the consequential relief.

4. Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of this case, it seems to this Court that the petitioner is not interested to proceed

with the case either on the ground that the purpose of filing this writ petition has been resolved or that he has abandoned his prayer due to passage of time.

5. In view of the above facts, the instant writ petition being WPA 10287 of is dismissed without any order as to costs.

6. Consequently, the connected application, if any, is also, thus, disposed of.

7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

8. All parties shall act in terms of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties taking all legal formalities.
