Mr. Goutam Dey Mr. Dipendu Sarkar Mr. Kaushal Kumar Ms. Ankita Ghosh ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Jahar Lal De Mr. Supratim Dhar ... ... for the State The grievance raised in the petition is that in the same area earlier the plantation work was undertaken under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and now tender has been issued by the District Forest Officer for the plantation work. The allegation is that the funds are being misappropriated by adopting such efforts.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that the petitioner had submitted the representation dated 21.01.2022 to the respondent no.5, District Magistrate, Purulia and in pursuance thereto the petitioner was given an opportunity of hearing by the Additional District Magistrate (General), Purulia but thereafter the outcome has not been communicated. He has also submitted that an enquiry and spot inspection is required to be carried out.

Learned counsel for the State also does not dispute that in pursuance to the petitioner's representation the

Additional District Magistrate, Purulia had given notice of hearing on 17th June, 2022.

In the aforesaid circumstances, we dispose of the present petition by directing the respondent no.5 to conclude the enquiry which has been initiated in pursuance to the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2022, if not already concluded. The District Magistrate, Purulia will get the spot inspection and field survey done to ascertain the correctness of the allegation made by the petitioner and thereafter will pass a reasoned speaking order and duly communicate the same to the petitioner.

Let this exercise be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
