1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record.

2. Learned advocate representing petitioner expresses grievance with regard to inaction on the part of the police authorities in taking steps based on the complaint lodged.

3. However, learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 2nd July, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Uttar Kashipur Police Station, Bhangar Division, Kolkata Police, disclosing that based on complaint FIR is registered being Uttar Kashipur Police Station Case No. 102 dated 1st July, 2026.

4. Learned advocate representing petitioner submits in view of registering complaint his grievance stands redressed.

5. No further order need be passed on this writ petition except directing the police authority to expedite the investigation.

6. Writ petition stands disposed of.

7. However, it is also clarified that petitioner shall also be at liberty to take steps in accordance with the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 by approaching jurisdictional authority.

8. Copy of the communication dated 2nd July, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing petitioner.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
