Petitioner has approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities particularly with regard to the sections under which charge-sheet has been submitted before the jurisdictional court as also in relation to the accused persons evading the process of law.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Kultali Police Station Case No.89 of 2025 dated 06.02.2025 and Kultali Police Station Case No.377 of 2025 dated 06.05.2025, both were registered under Sections 137(2)/140(3) of the BNSS. In both the cases, charge-sheet has been submitted before the jurisdictional court.

I have considered the report which reflects the contents of the statement under Section 183 of the BNSS of the victim girl. On an assessment of the same, I am of the view that the police authorities have taken steps in consonance with the provisions of law. If further any materials appear, police authorities would take steps. However, for the time being, I direct that the police authorities would keep a strict vigil and ensure that no further untoward incident results because of the submission of charge-sheet in connection with the criminal case.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 12695 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
