Mr. Subrata Ghosh ...for the petitioner Mr. Tarun Kumar Ghosh, Ms. Debarati Sen Bose ...for the State Ms. Suvasree Ghose ...for the WBSEDCL Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, in his usual fairness, submits at the outset that the petitioner is willing to file an appropriate application for restoration of electricity connection, which has apparently not been done in the present case.

Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, W.P.A. No. 12261 of 2022 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application for restoration of electricity connection.

If so filed, subject to compliance of all formalities as stipulated in law, the WBSEDCL shall restore the electricity connection of the petitioner, if otherwise permissible in law.

It is made clear that the merits of the contentions of the parties in the present writ petition have not been entered into by this Court.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
