Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioners have approached this Court being aggrieved that their representation was not considered by the police authorities.

State has submitted a report which reflects that although the petitioners could not identify their land, but their names are appearing in the records of the office of Officer-in-Charge, Town Survey Unit, Howrah, Government of West Bengal. Private respondent submits that he has also purchased the land.

Be that as it may, since there is an indication in the report of the police authorities that the records reflect the names of Tarak Nath Jaiswal and Krishna Devi Jaiswal as owners. If there is any dispute, the same is to be decided by the civil court. In case any individual interferes with the liberty of the present petitioners and a specific complaint is

lodged with the police authorities, police authorities will consider the same in accordance with law. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 13801 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
