Mr. Kaushik Gupta Mr. Anirban Tarafdar Mr. Daniel Sarkar Mr. Sohal Tudu ...for the petitioner Mr. Sukumar Bhattacharya Ms. Piyali Shaw ...for the O.P. nos. 2 to 4 Mr. Anand Keshari ...for the State The application being CRR 1599 of 2015 has been preferred against the judgment and order dated 9th September, 2013 in connection with the electricity case no. 305 of 2005 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Special Court, under Electricity Act, Howrah thereby acquitting accused persons for commission of offence under Section 135(1)(a) and (b) of the Electricity Act, 2003.

It is further submitted that a writ application being WPA 20697 of 2005 was also preferred by the accused persons. The said writ application was ultimately disposed of by an order of the Lok Adalat at High Court dated 22nd June, 2024 whereby the matter was settled finally subject to payment of Rs. 1,50,000/- by the accused/opposite party herein to the C.E.S.C Ltd and I am informed that said amount has already been paid in terms of the order of the Lok Adalat dated 22nd June, 2024.

Now, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties have amicably settled the dispute and to that extent both the parties have filed a joint petition of comprise being CRAN 2 of 2024. He further submits that in view of the amicable settlement, the petitioner does not want to proceed further with the present application.

In such view of the matter, CRR 1599 of 2015 is dismissed as withdrawn.

CRAN 2 of 2024 is accordingly allowed.
