Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner has come up with this writ petition for direction upon the concerned police authority to trace out his brother namely, Ajgar Mistry who went missing on 13th February, 2022.

Mr. Suryaneel Das, learned Additional Government Pleader has filed a communication dated 29th June, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Haroa Police Station, Basirhat PD and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 29th June, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

It is disclosed in the communication dated 29th June, 2026 that on filing complaint stating that brother of the petitioner went missing in the month of February, 2022, Haroa P.S. Missing Person Case No.16 of 2022 dated 16th February, 2022 was initiated and several attempts were made to find out missing brother of the petitioner. It further appears from the communication that GD entries were made being no.823 dated 18th

[2] February, 2022, 833 dated 18th February, 2022, 889 and 892 dated 19th February, 2022.

However, said communication dated 29th June, 2026 discloses that missing brother of the petitioner is yet to be traced out.

Concerned police authorities are directed to take all possible steps to find out brother of the petitioner. 7.

With the aforesaid observation, writ petition stands disposed of.
