Mr. Debasish Kundu ..For the Petitioner Ms. Rajashree Roy ...For the Respondent no. 7 The petitioner participated in the Staff Selection Commission's Examination for recruitment to the post of Constable (G.D.) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. And Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2022.

By an order dated June 19, 2023, this Court directed the Superintendent, Eastern Command Hospital to conduct a Physical Standard Test on the petitioner and file a Report with regard to the measurement of the height of the petitioner. It appears from the said Report that the height of the petitioner is 172 cms. The Report also records that the petitioner is fit as far as height measurement is concerned.

In such view of the matter, let the petitioner's application be considered for recruitment to the post for which he applied for in the SSC's Examination of 2022, after compliance of all the formalities.

With such directions, W.P.A. 12817 of 2023 is disposed of.

It is made clear that till such time the petitioner is considered by the authorities concerned, one post of Constable (GD) shall be kept vacant.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all the formalities.
