1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2) It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that prayer is made in this writ petition for disseminating information relating to pendency of criminal prosecutions against him by the concerned police authorities.

3) Mr. Suryaneel Das, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 24th June, 2026 of Inspector-inCharge, Burdwan Police Station, Purba Bardhaman and same is taken on record. Copy of communication

dated 24th June, 2026 is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioner.

4) It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents with reference to representation dated 3rd June, 2026 of the petitioner addressed to Superintendent of Police, Purba Bardhaman that based on apprehension case is made out in this writ petition and there is no basis so far allegations made in the writ petition. In addition thereto, it is also submitted that no criminal prosecution is pending in Burdwan Police Station against the petitioner as on date.

5) Since it is disclosed vide communication dated 24th June, 2026 that no criminal prosecution is pending against the petitioner in Burdwan Police Station as on date, no further order need be passed on this writ petition.

6) Writ petition stands disposed of.

7) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
