Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on a minor's application, that is, the application of the petitioner's minor son, the CESC Limited has not yet been given electricity connection at the premises-in-question.

Learned counsel for the CESC Limited submits that there is no objection on behalf of the CESC Limited, in principle, to give electricity connection, if the guardian of the minor makes such an application on behalf of the minor or her own behalf for such new electricity connection. The writ petition, it is seen, has been filed by the mother of the minor in her own capacity. Be that as it may, WPA No. 12342 of 2022 is disposed of in the light of the above submissions to the effect that the CESC Limited

shall give an independent electricity connection to the petitioner, subject to the petitioner applying for a new connection either in her own name and/or as guardian of her minor son, as expeditiously as possible, subject to feasibility of giving such connection otherwise and compliance of all formalities by the petitioner.

It is expected that upon such an application being made and due formalities being complied with by the petitioner, the CESC Limited shall give such connection expeditiously.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
