Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate on behalf of the State, opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the Pradhan's signature and seal have been forged and notices were served under Section 41A of the Cr.P.C. To that extent, the statements of the witnesses had also been shown. Without entering into the merits of the contention regarding the allegation, we are primarily of the opinion that the petitioner has not cooperated with the investigation and as such, he is not entitled to the benefit of the anticipatory bail.
