The Corporation has produced documents before this Court to show that the excess payment made by the petitioner on account of property tax has been adjusted after the order of the learned Tribunal and after adjustment of Rs.9,600/- is due and payable. Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has handed over a copy of the said bill to Mr. Das, learned advocate for the petitioner. The petitioner shall be at liberty to pay an amount of Rs.9,600/-, as demanded by the Corporation, in accordance with law.

It goes without saying that the subsequent demand for the property tax shall be raised in accordance with law.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
