It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the alleged contemnor that in compliance with the order of this Court passed on September 14, 2021 in WPA No. 13517 of 2021 decision has been taken by the State authorities that there is encroachment on public highway and notice under Section 10(4) of the West Bengal Highways Act, 1964 has been issued to the alleged encroachers.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the alleged contemnor seeks accommodation to submit a compliance report to that effect. He further submits that the Contai Highway Sub-Division (PWD Roads) sought police assistance for removal of the alleged construction and such assistance can be provided only after completion of

Madhyamik Examination which shall conclude on March 16, 2022.
