Public Prosecutor Mr. Swapan Banerjee Mr. Suman De ... for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is not the principal accused. His voice sample had not matched with that of the caller who cheated individuals.

Accordingly, he prays for bail. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposes the prayer for bail and submits petitioner is a conspirator. He committed identity theft and supplied the co-accused with essential particulars including phone numbers of the victims. Charge has been framed and the case is ready for trial.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner and co-accused had conspired and set up a call centre to cheat various persons under the guise of working in Microsoft INC. Petitioner assisted other co-accused by providing personal details including phone numbers of the victims. Trial is about to commence. Prayer for bail of

co-accused had been turned down. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
