According to learned Advocate for the petitioner, his client is the father-in-law of the victim and has been falsely implicated in this case. There is absence of any specific role attributed to him in the FIR Learned Advocate on behalf of the State has stated that the husband of the victim is in custody. He has raised objection as to the prayer of the present petitioner also. Considered the materials available in record in the case diary, we do not find anything implicating to warrant petitioner's custodial interrogation that prompt us to allow his bail prayer. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a Bond of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only) with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local. Petitioner is directed in this case to surrender before the jurisdictional Court within four weeks. Till the petitioner surrender, he shall meet with the Investigating Officer once a week and/or when called for.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is allowed.
CRM (A) 2160 of 2023 is, thus disposed of.
