Mr. Susnigdho Bhattacharyya, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arrested on April 22, 2023 and since then he is in custody. Additionally it has been submitted that the case has been based on documents and the same is available, further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Mr. Rudradipta Nandy, learned Advocate appears on behalf of the State and opposes the prayer for bail. He submits that investigation of the case is in progress and in a crucial stage. Having considered the materials in the case diary alleging that the petitioner collected money from the individuals and did not deposit the same, we are of the opinion that the petitioner is not entitled to be released on bail at this stage.

Accordingly, the application for bail being CRM (DB) 2148 of 2023 is dismissed.
