Heard the learned lawyers for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected by a co-ordinate Bench. The trial has considerably progressed. The evidence of the minor victim girl implicates the petitioner in the offence in the offence of penetrative sexual assault.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

We request the trial court to conclude the trial at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
