Present petition has been filed for quashing of Bowbazar P.S. Case No.263 of 2024 dated 10th November, 2024 under Section 85/316(2) of the BNS, 2023 read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

Both the parties are appeared in person.

Learned counsel for the petitioner had duly identified both the parties. Both the parties have stated before the court that they have voluntarily settled the matter at their own free will without any fear, force and coercion. Both the parties state that they have started living together again and the present FIR may be quashed.

The court has satisfied itself that the parties are made the statement voluntarily without any fear, force and coercion.

In the circumstances, in view of the mutual settlement between the parties, the FIR being Bowbazar P.S. Case No.263 of 2024 dated 10th November, 2024 under Section 85/316(2) of the BNS, 2023 read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 bearing G.R. No. 737 of 2024 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-II at Kolkata stands quashed. Parties are held bound by the settlement. 6.

Accordingly, CRR 2540 of 2025 stands disposed of. 7.
