The allegation is under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Commercial quantity of contraband is involved.
In view of the restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to allow the petitioners' prayer for bail. The application for bail is, thus, dismissed. We are told that examination of the fourth prosecution witness is in progress. The petitioners have been in custody for 660 days. We direct the learned Trial Judge to make all endeavors to bring the trial to an end as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.
