Banerjee) Mr. Saibal Acharya Mr. Sukumar Sarkar ... for the petitioners Mr. Santanu Kumar Mitra ... for the WBCHSE The petitioners' grievance is that althroughout the petitioner no. 2 studied in Bengali medium school and also he took admission in Kalyani University Experimental School (H.S.) which is a Bengali medium school but his registration for the ensuing Higher Secondary examination has come up with the entry English medium, which is to be rectified.

This has not been denied by the respondents.

Learned advocate for the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education submits that if the court directs, they are ready and agreeable to rectify the mistakes. This court fails to understand why for rectification of errors on the face of records court's order is required?

Though I do not understand if there is a mistake why it cannot be rectified by themselves by the Council but when such a prayer has been made on behalf of the Council, I direct the Council to rectify the mistake and

send a fresh registration certificate to the petitioner no. 2 within a period of two weeks from date as a Bengali medium candidate.

With the above observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of.
