It appears that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall only be a futile exercise. CRR 647 of 2024 and CRR 2044 of 2024 and the connected applications are allowed.

Proceedings of G.R. case no.862 of 2022 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Haldia is quashed. The petitioner be set at liberty at once and discharged from his bail bonds.
