The Indian Oil Corporation Limited could not proceed further in the matter allegedly due to the pendency of the contempt application being CPAN 1046 of 2019 (Subhankar Pati -vs- Brindaban Soren & Ors.). An order dated 22nd September, 2021 passed by the Divisional LPG Sales Head, Indian Oil Corporation Limited has been placed before this Court.

It is directed that the Indian Oil Corporation Limited shall take appropriate steps in the matter irrespective of the fact whether the contempt application is pending or not and shall proceed for commissioning LPG distributorship and submission of related documents at the earliest.

It is made clear that the pendency of the contempt application will not stand in the way of the Company to pass necessary order in the matter. WPA 13545 of 2021 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
