This is an application for direction upon trial Court for expeditious disposal of NDPS Case No.14 of 2020 under Section 21 C/29 of the NDPS Act presently pending before the learned Special Judge, Bench-I, NDPS Court, Calcutta.
This Court is of the view that this matter can be disposed of with the assistance of the learned P.P.-in-charge on behalf of the State of West Bengal.
Ms. Faria Hossain along with Ms. Manisha Sharma are requested to assist this Court in the instant matter. Their appointment be regularized by the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal.
It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the petitioner is a lady. She was arrested on 15th February, 2022 in connection with the instant case and since then she is incarceration. Trial of the case has been started and only two witnesses have been examined in the instant case. Since the petitioner is a lady, the learned trial Judge is requested to take all endeavour to conclude the hearing of the matter by examining all the charge sheeted witnesses expeditiously and preferably within nine months from the date of communication of this order.
The instant revision is, thus, disposed of.
