Petitioner on 28.06.2024 submitted that he intends to file supplementary affidavit.

However, today when the matter has been called, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner has waived such right and has only restricted his prayer for expediting the investigation of Rajabagan Police Station Case No. 12 dated 07.03.2024 as liberty of the petitioner is being curtailed because of pendency of the investigation of the said case. I find that the investigation of the case commenced on 07.03.2024. Having regard to the fact that the subject-matter of investigation relates to allegation of cheating and forgery and such type of investigation is based on report of experts, I am of the view that in case the investigating authorities have been able to obtain the report of the experts in respect of ascertaining the truthfulness of the allegation of cheating and forgery, unnecessary delay may not be created in submitting the report

under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Port Division will monitor the investigation of the case so that the investigation of the case is taken to its logical conclusion at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 14050 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
