The petitioners are directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Mrs. Anasuya Sinha, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate for the petitioners challenges the continuance of Jangipara Police Station Case No. 149 of 2019 dated 14.07.2019 under Sections 498A/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Attention of the Court has been drawn to the charge-sheet and the statement of the witnesses so relied upon by the petitioners. Emphasis has also been laid on the contents of the statement of the witnesses relied upon by the prosecution.

I have considered the submissions advanced by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners and I am of the view that the petitioners would be at liberty to approach the learned trial court for canvassing the points advanced in the present revisional application at the stage of consideration of charges.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2031 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
