1. The affidavit of service filed in court today is taken on record.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.

3. The petitioner approached the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal (in short 'Tribunal') for grant of benefit of compassionate appointment. The Tribunal in O.A.80 of 2020 directed for consideration of her case within a stipulated timeframe (22 weeks) from the date of receipt of the order.

4. The petitioner, thereafter, has moved before the Tribunal for contempt and during pendency of the contempt proceedings, the petitioner's claim was considered and rejected by an order dated 03.01.2025 issued by the Additional Director,

Senior Special Secretary, West Bengal in Directorate of Health Services, Government of West Bengal.

5. The Tribunal, in these circumstances, has dropped the contempt proceedings. The order dated 03.04.2025 dropping the contempt proceedings is the subject matter of the present writ petition.

6. Since the petitioner's claim has been considered by the authorities on 03.01.2025 and they have purged themselves; and the Tribunal has dropped the contempt proceedings by passing the order on 03.04.2025, we leave the petitioner to assail the order on merits in an appropriate proceeding in accordance with law.

7. The writ petition is, thus, dismissed.
