His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the case was initiated in the year 2009, the charge-sheet was submitted in the year 2012, charge was framed in the year 2016 and out of 7 witnesses no witness has been examined till date.

Having considered the progress of Belgharia PS Case No.315/2009 dated 06.10.2009 which was initiated almost 14 years ago, I am of the view that the anxiety expressed by the petitioner is justified.

The learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barrackpore is directed to fix at least one date in a month for the purpose of the present case so that the trial of the present case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to any of the parties.

Learned Public Prosecutor would make available the alamats required for the case. All efforts must be taken to conclude the trial by 30th September, 2024.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2036 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
