The report of the Officer-in-charge, Narendrapur Police Station dated 2nd September, 2022 addressed to the State Advocate be taken on record.

The petitioner complains that the private respondent has kidnapped his wife and despite complaint to the Narendrapur Police Station, steps have not been taken.

It appears from the said report that the petitioner's wife, namely, Mamoni Chakraborty had visited the Police Station on 13th July, 2022 indicating that she has willingly left her husband since after marriage, unable to bear the torture by the petitioner. The aforesaid fact was intimated to the petitioner by the police.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of without any orders.

There will be no order as to costs.
