We find that the alleged contemnors have paid interest at the rate of 9 per cent per annum from the date of retirement of the petitioner will the date of actual payment in so far as the gratuity and leave encashment is concerned. Further, additional 2 per cent penal interest has also been paid since the payment of interest was not made within the time period indicated by the learned Single Judge and upheld by us.

In view of the aforesaid, we find no reason to keep this contempt application pending.

CPAN 593 of 2022 is, thus, disposed of.
