The petitioner is aggrieved by the approval letter dated August 9, 2018 signed by the Assistant AssessorCollector(Div-IV), A.A.C.(N), DIV-IV, KMC where the annual valuation of the premises of the petitioner has been proposed at Rs. 2,22,870/- only with effect from 2/2017-18. The communication mentions that if no objection against such annual valuation is received within 21 days, the annual valuation will be deemed to have been accepted.

The petitioner admits that within the aforesaid time period the objection could not be filed.

At the time of hearing it has been submitted that the petitioner has already cleared the property tax due in respect of the said premises and prays that the objection

filed challenging the fixation of the annual valuation may be considered.

It appears from records that no formal objection has been filed by the petitioner challenging the annual valuation.

For ends of justice, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a comprehensive representation highlighting his grievances along with supporting documents before the Assessor-Collector (North) Div.-IV, KMC within December 7, 2022.

In the event, such a representation is filed, the same shall be considered upon giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be concluded within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the representation from the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
