1. The petitioners along with the other villagers are sought to have been made by a common representation to the respondent authorities in respect of the proposed construction of two bridges at Lalpul and Dasmile with a request to construct the bridges and maximum width according to the National Highway Rules so that there will be a smooth movement of the vehicle as well as use of the public on the footpath on the bridge.

2. In this regard a representation has been made to the authorities.

3. Time and again it has been held that a writ court should not interfere in technical matters, more particularly with regard to the width of a bridge or width of a road which are to be left to the decision of the experts and in the instant case the National Highway Authority is the proper.

4. Therefore, at this juncture we decline to issue any direction as sought for.

5. However, we give liberty to the petitioners to pursue their representation before the appropriate respondent which shall be considered in accordance with law.

6. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
