Petitioners are parents of respondent no.4 and complain that the respondent no.4 and his wife respondent no.5 have been physically and mentally torturing both of them and to that effect, information was furnished to the police station. Such physical torture is continuing for more than one year. Certain General Diary Entries have been handed over to this Court in respect of information furnished on 08.03.2025.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that the petitioners intend to sell of the dwelling house and the same is genesis of the dispute between the petitioners and the private respondents.

Having regard to the nature of the dispute complained of and the police authorities are facing difficulties in interfering with the same, I direct that a lady constable be deployed by the Inspector-inCharge, Baguiati P.S. who would every alternate day for the next 15 days visit the house and submit a report to the Inspector-in-Charge, Baguiati Police Station. In case any incident is complained of which is blown out of proportion and the petitioners are affected by any untoward incident, the Inspector-inCharge, Baguiati Police Station will take appropriate steps. Within the aforesaid period, petitioners would approach the competent authority under the provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

The concerned authority is directed to pass necessary directions so that the petitioners are not faced with inconveniences or torture and if it so appeals to the authority, directions be passed upon the police authorities concerned. In case such a direction is received by the Inspector-inCharge, Baguiati Police Station, the concerned officer would respect, obey and implement the order of the competent authority.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 14112 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Photostat copies of the information furnished with Baguiati P.S. be also kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
