1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The learned Counsel for the applicants has submitted that in 1st paragraph of the order dated 2nd April, 2024, there is an apparent mistake as it is being recorded that the writ petitioners challenged the decision of the authority concerned to deny their appointments under Unreserved (Exempted Category). It is submitted that in the writ petition, the grievance was that they were not called for personal interview which was scheduled on 19th July, 2022.

3. It appears that there is an error apparent on the face of the order in recording the subject matter of

challenge in the writ petition. Accordingly, the first paragraph of the order dated 2nd April, 2024 should read as follows:- "The appeal is arising out of an order dated 1st May, 2023 in a writ petition in which the writ petitioners challenged the decision of not including the name of the petitioners in the panel prepared for personal interview which was scheduled to be held on 19th July, 2022 for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical), GradeII pursuant to an Employee Notification vide no.REC/2021/04."

4. The said opening paragraph, however, does not in any way affect the findings arrived at in the judgment. The other grounds of review have already been considered in the judgment. The review is not an appeal in disguise. All points were considered.

5. Under such circumstances, the review application and the connected application are allowed to the aforesaid extent and, accordingly, stand disposed of.

6. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
