The petitioner complains of inaction on the part of the respondent no.3 in implementing the resolution adopted by the Board of the State Transport Authority in its meeting held on August 21, 2024 by endorsing a new alignment of route being Minto Park, Sealdah (Court), Belaghata on the petitioner's permit.

Mr. Bhattacharjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner invites the attention of this Court to the resolution adopted by the Board of the State Transport Authority on August 21, 2024 whereby the petitioner's request for variation of the petitioner's route was allowed and approved. Mr. Bhattacharjee further submits that despite such resolution having been adopted, since the same was not implemented, the petitioner made a

representation on September 26, 2024 before the respondent no.3/the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West Bengal. The respondent no.3 remained silent even after such representation being made. The petitioner, therefore, followed up by making another representation through her learned advocate on May 28, 2025. The said representation has also failed to bear any fruit. The petitioner, therefore, has approached this Court by way of the instant writ petition.

Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material on record, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.3 i.e. the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West Bengal to consider the petitioner's representation dated September 26, 2024 (Annexure P-3) at page 25 of the writ petition and the representation dated May 28, 2025 (Annexure P-4) at pages 26 and 27 of the writ petition and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order strictly in accordance with law, upon giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is needless to mention that the respondent no.3/ the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West Bengal shall communicate such reasoned order, passed within the period, as aforesaid, to the petitioner within a week from passing thereof.

With the above observations, WPA 12764 of 2025 stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
