In the matter of : Karttik Patra @ Kartick Patra ..... petitioner Mr. Siddhartha Sarkar .....For the petitioner Mr. S. S. Imam Ms. Sonali Bhar .....For the State Apprehending arrest in connection with Debra Police Station Case No. 91 of 2021 dated 18.02.2021 under Sections 341/325/307/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, the present application has been preferred.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in view of the subsisting enmity between the parties. The allegations are omnibus in nature and as such, custodial interrogation is not warranted.

Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioner's prayer and draws our attention to several documents in the case diary including the injury report. Heard learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considered the materials in the case diary. Prima facie, there are incriminating materials against the petitioner. Considering the injury report and the extent of complicity of the petitioner, we are not inclined to exercise

any discretion in his favour and as such, his prayer for anticipatory bail is refused.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail, being CRM 5759 of 2021 is dismissed.
