1. Learned counsel for the petitioner/financial institution submits that the petitioner's application under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 has been kept pending inordinately beyond the statutory outer limit.

2. On query of court, learned counsel further submits that there is no pending application under Section 17 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 regarding the secured asset.

3. Affidavit-of-service filed today be kept on record.

4. Despite service, none appears for the respondents.

5. Accordingly, WPA No. 14186 of 2024 is allowed, thereby directing the respondent no. 2, that is, the District Magistrate, Paschim Bardhaman to dispose of the petitioner's application under Section of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 as expeditiously as possible, positively within four weeks from the date of communication of this order to the said respondent.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
