Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that although there are criminal cases registered against the petitioner and also at the behest of the relative of the petitioner, a counter-case is there within the jurisdiction of Sankrail Police Station, but the petitioner is unable to enter his residence. To that effect, mother of the petitioner has made a representation to the police authorities. The genesis of the case, according to the petitioner, relates to a water body and directions passed by the BL&LRO. State has submitted a report which reflects that there are two cases against the petitioner being Sankrail P.S. Case No. 273/2025 and Sankrail P.S. Case No. 294/2025. Another case being Sankrail P.S. Case No. 278/2025 has been registered by the petitioner's relative against the private respondents.

Police authorities, on conclusion of investigation, have submitted charge-sheet in all the three cases. Since the plight expressed by the petitioner is with regard to entering his residence, I direct the petitioner to report to the Inspector-in-Charge, Sankrail Police Station who would depute an officer of his choice for ensuring that after the petitioner enters his residence, there are no inconveniences caused to him. The Inspector-in-Charge will depute a police personnel who would every alternate day for a period of two weeks visit the residence of the petitioner to ensure and take information as to whether after entering the residence, the petitioner has been confronted with any untoward incident. So far as the criminal cases are concerned, the same would proceed in accordance with law. The police authorities would oversee that no untoward incident results after the petitioner enters his residence.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 12978 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
