Relating to installation of electric transformer on the land of the petitioner a dispute arose and a complaint was lodged based on which a criminal prosecution being Polerhat Police Station Case No. 52 of 2026 dated 30.05.2026 was initiated as it is disclosed in the communication dated 24.06.2026 of Officer-in-charge, Polerhat Police Station, Kolkata Police. However, prayer is made for providing protection to the petitioner which would enable the petitioner to lead normal life.

Communication dated 24.06.2026 of Officer-in-charge, Polerhat Police Station, Kolkata Police is filed today and same is taken on record. Copy of the communication dated 24.06.2026 is made over to the learned Advocate representing the petitioner.

Since based on complaint Polerhat Police Station Case No. 52 of 2026 dated 30.05.2026 is initiated, concerned police authority is directed to take the prosecution to its logical conclusion by submitting report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

However, concerned police authorities are also directed to maintain peace and tranquility in and around the residence of the petitioner and to see that no untoward incident takes place.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Let urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on usual undertaking.
