Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Ms. Sayanti Santra, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. Her appearance may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the petitioner was arrested on 13th January, 2022. Learned advocate submits that after the charge-sheet has been submitted, date has been fixed for consideration of charges on 18th July, 2023. Learned advocate also submits that there is hardly any scope of proceeding in view of the material collected by except rebutting the prosecution evidence by way of cross-examination.

In view of the submissions so advanced, the learned trial court is directed to fix at least a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every three months after the charges are framed. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to

either of the parties. The learned public prosecutor conducting the trial would produce the relevant materials, exhibits and documents on the date fixed for the examination of the witnesses. There are number of departmental witnesses. In case departmental witnesses do not appear, the learned special court would directly communicate with the office of the Superintendent of Police who would take steps for production of such departmental witnesses on the relevant dates.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2051 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
