1. The prayer of the petitioner seeking appointment to the post of MMR is pending consideration at the end of the Authority for a considerable period of time.

2. The petitioner prays for disposal of his prayer.

3. None represents the respondents.

4. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept with the records.

5. As it appears that the issue is pending consideration before the Authority, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Secretary, Law Department to consider and dispose of the petitioner's prayer in accordance with the prevailing rules at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

7. Leave is granted to the advocate on record of the petitioner to amend the description of the respondent no. 1 in the cause title of the writ petition.

8. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
