Petitioner approached this court in respect of inaction of the police authorities pursuant to Kaliachak PS Case No. 568/2023 dated 14.05.2023 being registered for investigation. Another case was registered at the behest of the petitioner being Kaliachak PS Case No. 496/2024.

State has submitted a report which reflects that so far as Kaliachak PS Case No. 496/2024 dated 17.04.2024 is concerned, police authorities on completion of investigation submitted charge sheet. However, the police report reflects that Kaliachak PS Case No. 568/2023 is still under investigation. Accordingly, it is directed that if the investigation of the case is still continuing the Investigating Officer will put in efforts and establish contact with the defacto complaint to ensure the availability of the documents, if any, and thereafter

take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 14804 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
