The petitioner's father was a licensed Fair Price Shop Dealer. He died on 8th November, 2020.

The petitioner seeks compassionate engagement. The respondent authorities conducted a hearing in the matter lastly on 13th August, 2021. No final order has been passed till date.

The petitioner prays for a direction upon the respondent authorities to pass a final order in terms of the hearing held on 13th August, 2021.

The learned advocate appearing for the State respondents submits that some time may be granted to the respondents within which the necessary order(s) will be passed.

In view of the aforesaid submissions made on behalf of the parties, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.6 being the Sub-Divisional Controller (F&S), Barasat Sub-Division to take a prompt decision in the matter and intimate the parties the fate of the hearing held on 13th August, 2021 at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

WPA 13777 of 2021 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
