1. Heard learned Counsel for both the parties.

2. Admittedly there was consistent relationship between the petitioner and the victim and there has been a break-up in the relationship due to some reasons or otherwise. The investigation is stated to have progressed substantially.

3. On perusal of the materials on record in the Case Diary, we find that there is no need of custodial interrogation in the present case.

4. Regard being had to such facts and submissions, factum of permanent residence of the petitioner, nature of offence and substantial progress in the investigation, tender age of the petitioner, possibility of reform in him, it is directed that the petitioner shall be released on bail by the Arresting Officer in the event of his arrest on such terms and conditions as deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case in connection with Sonarpur P.S. case No. 316 of 2023 dated 03.04.2023.

5. Accordingly, the prayer for the anticipatory bail is allowed.
