Learned Counsel for the petitioner and the State are present.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that during the pendency of this Public Interest Litigation (PIL) a Memo No. 6278(g)/IX2/LC-13/2025 dated June 30, 2025, has been issued by the Additional District Magistrate and District Land & Land Reforms Officer, Nadia and proceedings have commenced.

In that view of the matter and considering the previous order dated February 27, 2025, passed by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court, in WPA(P) No. 26 of 2025, we find no reason to interfere with the matter. However, it is observed that it will be lawful for the Competent Authority

to expedite and decide the matter in accordance with law.

The PIL is disposed of without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case.

Urgent Photostat certified copy, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
